Sunless Airbrush Bronzing *

Sunless solution contains an FDA approved cosmetic ingredient called Dihydroxyacetone (or DHA) - a colorless ingredient derived from sugar cane that reacts with skin proteins, including amino acids, in the outermost layer of the skin. The reaction develops brown skin coloring that looks very similar to a natural tan. Skin coloration takes anywhere from two to four hours and lasts three to seven days depending on your skin type. Healthy, hydrated skin will retain the results of your sunless tanning session longer. Sunless spray results will vary by individual. The "tan" fades as the dead layers of skin slough off, just as in normal UV tanning.

A custom airbrush tan, like any self tanning product will not protect your skin from  overexposure from the sun or from a UV tanning bed. It is a cosmetic tan only.

For optimum results:

☼        Your skin should be clean and dry with no soap residue to interfere with your tan. Avoid bar soap.

☼        Exfoliate with a salt scrub or other appropriate product the day before your sunless tanning session. Removing loose, dead, dry skin cells that prevent even application of sunless solution will improve and extend your tanning results.

☼       Do not apply deodorant, perfumes or lotions to skin prior to tanning. Remove all make-up and jewelry before your session.

☼        Wear dark, loose fitting clothing to and from your sunless spray session. The initial cosmetic bronzers in the tanning solution may transfer to clothing or fabric. These bronzers are water-soluble and will wash out of most fabrics. The cosmetic bronzer will also wash off with your first shower, revealing the DHA bronze tan beneath.

☼        Avoid exposure to the lips and other parts of the body covered by mucous membrane. This can be accomplished by using a barrier product like a lip balm.  During the session, men are required to wear boxers or similar garments.  Women  may be sprayed topless if they are comfortable but a minimum of a thong or similar garment is required.

☼        After your sunless application wait a minimum of 6 hours before bathing or exercise to allow the DHA bronzer enough time to begin the reaction process.

☼        Very fair skin types may require a follow-up sunless application 12 to 24 hours later.

☼       The use of moisturizers and specially formulated tan extending products will increase the length of your sunless tanning results.
